I'm back with this...
Yes I've been gone awhile but that doesn't keep me from posting a new rant.
Walmart.
Yes, the duldrums of society.
It never fails that every time I visit our glorious wally world something totally mind blowing occurs.
Last night I stood in line to purchase a money order for a long time because the guy was talking on his phone and seemed to be trying to figure out why his credit/debit card wasn't working. And to top it all off he then acted like a d-bag to the chick behind the counter cuz surely she was to blame for him being broke.
Hell the last time I was there to purchase a MO the lady with 5 kids in front of me wanted to buy that many cartons of cigarettes with her food stamps! Yeah right, get real. The sad thing is that's what she spend most of the cash she had on her for instead of buying the kids some clothes or maybe more importantly FOOD.
And then you always wonder why they hire people to work the doors who obviously can't function to save their lives. Last night Jaba the Hutt's sister was sitting on a motorized cart half asleep and dreaming of donuts in front of the doors heading out. Really? Is she supposed to hit the NOS button and run someone down or call security? She didn't even seem like she knew what was going on.
Oh yeah, and gotta love all of the cranky people in the Pharmacy line. I don't think I've ever seen anyone in that line happy unless they were getting some nice pain killers.
That is all for now. Visit your local WalMart to take in a future view of our society. Sad isn't it?

So agreed, and have experienced the same. My blood pressure rises when I drive by...however, no matter what time you go, its prime people watching time!
ReplyDeleteI never really have these problems when I go to Walmart, but I only go there once in a blue moon. At the grocery store I work at though there are some weird customers. There are the people that you described that do come in on occasions.
ReplyDeleteAlso I busted up laughing at "Last night Jaba the Hutt's sister was sitting on a motorized cart half asleep and dreaming of donuts in front of the doors heading out. Really?"
Yes, I've had many misadventures at Wally World. I think people yelling at their kids tops it all for me. Or the kid is misbehaving and the supposed parent is ignoring the fact that it is bothering other sane individuals.
ReplyDeleteMy rant, so there!
Great post,I really like your article
